GeoVoCamp Madrid 2012

Estamos organizando el GeoVoCamp en Linked Spatiotemporal Data y Geo-Ontologies en Madrid. El GeoVoCamp Madrid 2012 se llevará a cabo de forma conjunta con el GeoVoCamp Santa Bárbara 2012.

El GeoVoCamp Madrid 2012 se desarrollará entre el 4 y 5 de febrero. Para asegurar que la reunión sea productiva y se obtengan resultado reales, esperamos que vosotros podáis asistir el sábado y domingo (4 y 5). Empezaremos el sábado a las 9 am., y cerraremos el evento el domingo a las 17:00.

El GeoVoCamp se realizará en la Biblioteca Central de la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), Paseo Senda del Rey 5, Ciudad Universitaria, Madrid. Hemos reservado aulas en la biblioteca para las sesiones.

Tenemos la intención de continuar trabajando en el vocabulario NeoGeo. Un área potencial de trabajo será la generación de LinkSpec para ayudar a mapear varios conjuntos de datos espaciales abiertos (por ejemplo, LinkedGeoData).Por supuesto, y lo más importante, el GeoVoCamp es gratuito y abierto a todo al mundo que este interesado en las geoontologías, la semántica espacial (con o sin geo), Red de datos espacio-temporales y la Web Semántica Geospacial.

El equipo organizador preparará una plantilla con la documentación para que los grupos de trabajos tomen las notas que serán presentadas y discutidas en el plenario. Tenemos la intención de coordinar ambas GeoVoCamps a través de video conferencia.

Dear all,
We are organizing the GeoVoCamp on Linked Spatiotemporal Data and Geo-Ontologies in Madrid (Spain). The GeoVoCampMadrid2012. will be held in conjunction with the GeoVoCamp Santa Barbara 2012.
The GeoVoCampMadrid2012 will take place 4-5 February 2012. To ensure that the meeting is productive and we get some real outcomes we hope that you can stay Saturday and Sunday (4-5 February). We will start Friday 2pm with an informal get together and discussions for those of you who arrive on Thursday or Friday and will kick off the GeoVoCamp Saturday 9am. We will close the event Sunday 5pm.
The Vocamp will take place at the Main Library of The National Distance Education University (UNED), Paseo Senda del Rey, 5. Ciudad Universitaria, Madrid. We booked different rooms at this Library for our sessions.
We plan to further work on the [http://geovocab.org/ NeoGeo vocabulary]. A potential further area of work will be generating LinkSpec's to help to map various open spatial datasets to each other (e.g., LinkedGeoData or geo.linkeddata.es). Of course, and most importantly, the GeoVoCamp is free and open to everybody with an interest in geo-ontologies, spatial semantics (with and without geo), Linked Spatiotemporal Data and the Geospatial Semantic Web.
The team of organisers will prepare a template for documentation, and breakout groups should take notes, which will be presented and discussed in the plenary. We plan to coordinate with the VoCamp at Santa Barbara via video link.
